“Dad had a spot on back of his ear, it looked like black hole that kept bleeding & was getting so sore he could barely touch it & making his whole ear sore. He wears a bipap machine at night so it kept it irritated, which didn't help. By the time he showed it to me, it was awful looking. I showed the dr & nurses when we went for a pre-op appt & they all made the same face as I did when I first saw it, and told him he needed it checked ASAP. Honestly, it looked like a nasty form of skin cancer. Dad is also nearly 80 & not gonna go to a dermatologist, he just isn't, been there done that. He just wanted it to stop hurting.

Apparently, he had been doctoring it for a year with everything from alcohol, peroxide to antibiotic salve, before he ever told me I put bee salve on it. The next day mom called to ask what I put on his ear bc it looked so much better & wasnt sore. Fast forward a month & he showed me yesterday his ear...completely healed. And he didn’t apply it daily this past month, probably more like 1 or 2 times a week (because as he said it didn’t hurt & he forgot about it).

I SO WISH I had the forethought to take before, during & after pics. I hoped it would help, but I had no idea just how much it would. Since then he's been using it on other sore spots he gets from him being diabetic & skin so thin & he shows me after when it's healed where he had places.
